About Pinecrest

Pinecrest Cakery (formely known as Jenny's Cakes) was established in November of 2019. Pinecrest is a certified home based cake shop located in Creston, Iowa. We specialize in custom designed cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, and chocolate dipped oreos.

Pinecrest is named after the owner, Jenny's, birds which you can find on the logo. Kiwi is known as a PINEapple conure and can be found doing what she loves most - hanging upside down. Lawrence is known as a white face cockatiel. Cockatiels are easily recongizable by the unique feathers on their head known as CREST feathers. He uses those feathers as a form of communication.

Pinecrest Cakery is dedicated to help you and your loved ones enjoy your special moment by taking away the stress that can come with making cakes. That is why we offer flexibility, honesty, and care with every cake order.

We are also dedicated to being both eco and animal friendly whenever possible. We make everything in small batches as to avoid unnecessary waste, we recycle all paper, plastic, cardboard, and glass products, and we use free ranged eggs in all our cakes.

Fun facts about Jenny the Owner

I was born and raised in Missouri. I moved to Creston in 2018.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management.
I have been in the cake decorating business since 2014.
I am married to my high school sweetheart.
Even though I am a cake decorator, my preferred dessert is actually pie!
My favorite flavor combo is chocolate peanut butter.
Kiwi and Lawrence are our only pets. We have had them since they were babies. They were hatched in 2018.
In my off time, I enjoy playing board games, watching tv, swimming, and reading.
